About us

Church of Joy is a Christ-centred charismatic church that desires to worship God in spirit and truth, and to see God’s glory – His character and purpose – reflected in our unity of community and faithful mission. We believe in the priesthood of all believers and the discipling of all nations. We are a mission minded church that desires to build a base so that Christians can be trained and resourced to change the character and culture of our city, our region and the world, in order to reflect Christ’s grace and truth. We desire to become a house of prayer for all nations, and for the grace and truth of the Gospel to bless all.

We are an autonomous local church that partners with the New Covenant Ministries International apostolic team.

Alex Jacob & Suzy Maben

Alex Jacob and Suzy Maben joined the COJ Eldership team in August 2019.  They have a deep passion for discipleship, prayer, and the prophetic as a way for the Church to embody Christ's Kingdom here on Earth. Alex works in aviation while Suzy is in education. For the last 8 years, Singapore has been the place they call home along with their daughter, Simone, after being in the Middle East for more than 20 years.

They truly enjoy the greenery that envelops the island by undertaking frequent hikes around the many nature parks and would love to hear your story over a meal any time.
